Hello everyone,
I'm now on my chemo. Not getting sick. Fatigue is the main side effect I'm having. Not to mention, now I'm bald. Sure don't like it, but not much I can do about it besides cover up my head. I look like a little old man now.. ha ha.. I'm a female...
My fiance finally quit the company that fired me & canceled my insurance while I was in the hospital for getting cancer, even before I was diagnosed... Seems the company thinks I was not telling them everything that was going on with my health. The disease which is Follicular Lymphoma (what I have) has no cause, and can go undetected for years. Also, I had not seen a doctor since early 2007, besides the one who gave me my DOT physical when I was hired on in April 2008. I saw my family doctor in 07 with restless leg syndrome, which has nothing to do with Lymphoma. I guess the company is just trying to cover their butts. But it won't do them any good, as I was well and doing fine when I went to work for them. The insurance even wants to know if I had any pre-existing illnesses.. They will shortly find out that I didn't. It will be hard for them to prove I did, since Follicular Lymphoma has no known causes. Since last posting in here, I've had 2 other surgeries, since the 1st one in October. It's been fun... NOT. Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm doing okay on the chemo treatments. Just hope I continue. Thank all of you for your support. Have happy and safe trucking. I sure miss it.

I'm sorry you have to go through this! I have heard that positive thinking will help the process, but also know that can be hard to do sometimes. Hope you find something good to think of when it gets tough, to pull you through!
I agree! BUT, put as little energy into it as you can until you get through with the chemo.Dewfrogg Thanks this. -
Thanks everyone. You guys & gals are great. I'm trying to keep that positive thinking. And yep, sometimes it's hard. I'll be in Chemo the day before Thanksgiving. Then on turkey day, I gotta go back and get a shot for bone marrow stimulation. Which makes my joints ache. But with enough Tylenol, it helps some. It wouldn't be so bad, but I have a 50 mile drive to just get one stupid shot. Which I could give to myself & my sister being nurses. But, they won't let me take it home.. Dang it!! I have to drink lots of water since one of the Chemo drugs is very hard on my kidneys. Sometimes I feel waterlogged... ha ha. But there are other times I can't get enough water. Remember when we were kids and grabbed the water hose and couldn't get enough water while we were outside playing. That is the way I feel at times. Anyway, I sure miss my Dr. Peppers. But I have lost a little weight, which I needed to anyway. My doc thinks I should stay at the weight I'm at, but I need to weigh less. I guess he's looking at the long term part of it. Losing too much isn't good for Cancer patients. But, I'll get through it with all of ya'lls encouragement. Thanks so much. Yall make me feel great...
