Getting Fed Up With TA, Run Down Equipment and Facilities.

I've been using Loves exclusively for quite some time. I enjoy their consistency, rewards, and modern facilities, and but recently On TVC, the discount for TA has widened from around 5 cents to 10, so I decided to switch to TA for a change. Well I'm a month in and I'm already considering going back to Loves despite the discount. It seems like every TA is either completely run down, has half of the pumps closed, card readers or keypads that don't work, parking lots full of craters, and last night there was a diesel leak so bad, the entire fuel island area had a pool of diesel. I thought it was melted snow, but ended up getting diesel on my floor because I had to walk in it to fuel. For a company owned by BP, they sure don't seem interested in investing and upgrading much, unlike Loves.

 

I just fueled at the Petro in Milan, NM for 3.588.
Albuquerque TA shows 3.599 and Moriarty 3.592.

I've been using TVC for a while. And I've compared prices to quite a few other services. I have yet to find one that gets consistently lower prices. Even factoring in the 2.75 or so use fee each pump and the 1% load fee.

 

Pretty comperable. Im not a huge fan of having to load money on my card days in advance to avoid bigger fees, but I haven't really seen anything that has motivated me enough to switch yet. Mudflap seems to be getting popular, and I haven't looked into them yet. One thing that TVC is behind on is not having the option to show fuel prices minus tax.
