Wat about it folks! Javon here, just wondering if anyone knows of any company's that would hire me with a 5yr.old felony for marijuana?was in the wrong place at the wrong time and went down with everyone in the house.Stupidly I pled to a felony in order to save my job at the time, which really came to bite me in the ##### now as you can see.I'm far from perfect, but no one is,and have completely changed my life around, and am no longer involved with anyone or any people of that sort.Trucking has always been my dream since I was little(all of my uncle's drove rigs and have since retired for various reasons).I am more than willing to start at the bottom and work my way up especially because of the Lil bruise on my record, all I'm looking for is a second chance at making my life better and actually doing something I love to do which is drive a rig,and actually have a career doing something that I love.I've done moths of research on this subject and would love to hear any POSITIVE FEEDBACK that could point me in the right direction. I refuse to give up on my dream because I no it's possible to have a career at this, and I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to make this happen no matter how long it takes.I've been working since I was 14 and have never quit anything in my life ,no matter what adversity I faced and I'm not about to Start now.Any info that could be provided is much appreciated.I know it won't be easy , and with a f on my report card I don't expect it to be.All I need is a point in the right direction and just a toe on the threshold and I know I can make it happen.

Also, keep in mind that you will have to wait a few more years before you are able to apply for Hazmat or TWIC. And you will likely have no chance of ever entering Canada. There are a ton of driving jobs out there. Local companies, delivery and cement drivers just to name a few. If you do your research you will find something.
Good luck, keep your head up and yourself out of trouble.carolinaboi28352 Thanks this. -
FELONY for Marijuana? Holy crap! Your state sucks! You shouldn't have that much of an issue assuming that is your only problem.
carolinaboi28352 Thanks this. -
Thanks Mav the last three you just listed were actually the3 I had on the top of my list to apply to based on the research I've done on here so far...What's the timeline for getting my hazmat and TWIC? And thanks for the positive comments,it's so much negative on here it's crazy.I have to keep a positive mindset because listening to the negative will do nothing for me

When you do find the company for you hit me up and let me no who you chose to go with..all us felons aren't the acumen of the earth and everybody deserves a second chance in life from the dumb ###### we've done while we were younger

Carolina Cargo in Rock Hill, SC will probably hire you, but you must graduate from a CDL school first. Give them a call. Martin Enterprises of the Carolinas also will probably also hire you. Carolina Cargo does California/West Coast turnarounds. I think Martin does the same; the only problem with Martin is they pay on 1099 so I would put them at the bottom of the list.
