I'm sorry, I hate to beat a dead horse, but just the banner title, just so out of place for my time. Get into trucking "with a bad record", I mean, have we gotten so out of it, this is considered acceptable? My "clean" record got me more jobs than I can remember, I just imagine some of the bosses I had, what their reaction would be if I had this kind of record. Get lost, maybe we have some janitorial work you can do, start with the drivers bathroom,,,
How did we get to this point, that someone with an obvious driving disorder, thinks trucking could be a viable choice? And some have the gall to ignore the mess we are in.

Yeah man.....I'd only be echoing what others said. You'll need at minimum 3 years to clean that record up. Companies have become picky in this freight downturn. There is little to no room for error anymore. Remember, what you do in your personal vehicle impacts your trucking career just as much as what you do in the truck. It all goes on the same MVR. If you want to have a chance at trucking in the future, maybe you can work in logistics another way....dock worker, maybe dispatch, maybe one of these warehouses where you can interact with drivers and learn the industry. Meanwhile, you can practice time management, paying attention to your surroundings, road signs, especially speed limit signs, following distance, all of these things that if you do well, you'll have longevity in the industry. Practice all of those things in your car. If it's something you truly want, then you'll do the necessary work to put yourself in a better position. You've had so many tickets and accidents in a short time(inexcusable). So first things first......let's focus on slowing down and driving the speed limit, so that way, when you do start trucking, you'll limit your interaction with a company's safety dept.

I really am beginning to think that people must be looking at their lives and going "trucking is easy money and they will take anyone" so they just figure that these CDL mills will fix everything for them and it's rainbows and unicorns before you know it. The perception is that they will take anyone, and that is partially true, but here's what you need to know: If you are from Uzbekistan or Somalia, your record doesn't exist. You don't even have one. You'll be hauling jet fuel in 8 weeks. If you are from North America they can see it. All of it. You will be passed over for the guy from the other side of the globe. That stinks, but that's how it works. You have a record and he doesn't. Supply and demand, and pricing of labor.
