So I'm curious. Do state men and or regular policia have the common knowledge to stay far enough behind you for you to notice their lights if and when they're pulling you over. I on occasion get too comfortable during a long drive and stop checking my mirrors 24/7 just to check them. I've had times where a car would sneak up behind me, ride my ###, and when I finally notice there is a car drafting off me I usually have to move halfway to the shoulder to make sure its not a cop.
Now I've been thinking ... np ill hear the sirens since I drive with my windows down. But I'm still cautious.
Also ... I don't have a CB

It depends, some will actually come around and wave a truck over, others will veer out so they can be seen, At night, the lights are hard to miss.
Almost never hear a siren unless they are coming by at a high rate of speed , ambulances and fire trucks will be making noise if needed. -
and Blue ones are the worst. -
Hey-How are you?Pennsylvainia pulled me over one night so close to the trailer and in the middle i couldn't tell where the lights were coming from.Colorado pulled me over.Took over three miles to notice him.If they ever wanted to check permits when i drove oversize there was no problem seeing them.I guess they all have their own ways.Take care.Brian

I brake check them or drop my speed to about 10 below for a while...But there are some cars out there who will slow down and speed upwith you, change lanes with you...car drivers suck plain and simple
Arkansas Frost, HotH2o and Pmracing Thank this. -
Why are you asking this? Do you plan to do things that will get you pulled over?

Having a cb can save your behind. Meaning, your doors came open your lights don't work, your losing a wheel, an Axel, dragging air lines. A bla blla and so on.
2) when they draft off of me I hop on the rumble strip or just change lanes -

I have thought about adding a backup camera to see who or what is hiding back there. I wonder if there is a wireless camera that could be powered by either a battery or the truck and viewed on my IPhone or IPad

I run a lot of 2 lanes, meeting one a little fast will sometimes get them to hit the lights, but they almost always just want you to slow down. They go on and off, don't expect a break in a probable cause state like IN. I haven't been stopped in quite awhile, not even lit up.
It usually doesn't happen in a town with a reduced speed limit, some of those places are speed traps, and if the lights come on, you are going to get a memorandum or even a citation. Probably the ticket.
