getting my CDL on my own

    New regulations for 2010 in process:
    Proposal of 44 hours behind the wheel training and 76 hours of classroom training before you could test for and receive your Class A CDL. This also has the requirement that all of this be done at an accredited school with qualified instructors.
    Final approval is in process this month with target date of May 2010 to publish the final rule in the Federal Register

    Might have to jump through more hoops getting your Commercial Learners Permit as well. Target date on those changes is April 30th, 2010

    OH IM GITTIN ON IT ALRIGHT! :biggrin_2557: i cant afford some over-rated-CDL-mill trainin... so, looks like ill be gittin my CDL before i need it but hey it wont hurt to git it now right? i mean, the liscense will transfer from intra-state to inter-state on my 21st birthday right? man im thinkin bout goin ahead and just gittin my permit now before time runs out on me! :biggrin_25515: thank you for the headsup Gears!
