I think you just proved what he was talking about and yet missed the whole point. If you listen to him he says every time he hit a rock he just moved the hole, he wasn't thinking about the straightness of the fence or anything just about himself and how he was above digging holes. I may be reading to deep into this but I think what he said is whats wrong with this country in general. I grew up on a dairy farm and believe me there are no shortage of jobs like this, I would have always rather been on a tractor than pitching calf stalls or bedding barns but it all had to be done and done right. It has nothing to do with being stupid I see smart people do stupid stuff everyday.

I don't know what your getting at but why would you ever move from center. Like if you start digging why change your course?

Like I honestly never seen anyone build a crooked fence, no one is that stupid.

He moved from center because it was easier than digging up the rocks. He didn't care about building a fence or the end product. He just wanted to get the holes dug so he could move on regardless of the finished product.

I push 44,000 empty in the Kenworth with a 55-ton Load King hydraulic neck.

But, we also run "construction" lowboys. The highway lowboys can handle weight, but, aren't designed to handle continuous, significant torqueing and twisting in off-road conditions. Ours are.

I am brand new to HH. I am so thankful that I found this forum. I also want to thank everyone for sharing all of your wisdom. I have always want to do HH, I have to say wow I had no idea how complex all this is. This info is not scaring me away, but it is very important to me to suck up as knowledge as I can and advice as I can get the job done the right the first time not to mention safely. So again thank you everybody. I will be doing a lot of studying for the next several days. To be honest all this is very exciting.

@cpape doesn't run solo, he runs the trucking company he owns.
