I have always been interested in the stage craft industry, and I know a lot of the production companies out there like to have drivers that know how to help set up the concert/performance, I was wondering if anybody knows any of the big companies out there looking for drivers, and how to get into it, i think it would be a lot more fun then hauling a reefer from point a to point b

There was a recent thread on that subject. I'll try to find it. That's about the worst paying trucking job out there.
Edit : Found it.
Thinking outside the box here.....
There's another one I'll look for concerning music concerts, plays, rock stars, etc. Same though, crummy pay and don't even think about associating with the band members, stars, cast, etc.Last edited: Oct 14, 2013

I thought England was your life,lol..Anyway my boyfriend did that .He was gone for months at a time. Then home for like 2 months and back out.Hotel meals and back stage to see the concert was free. With normal companies you can stop but hauling for a star you cannot stop. They don't have time.Ill ask him who he drove for.

Next time you pass a "convention center" take a look up there and see what trucks you see. Whenever I had to go into NYC there were all kinds of local guys there for a stage company,(can't remembers the name) but those guys were very happy! Keep in mind they also loaded and unloaded. But keeps you in shape!!! Not sure if all of the drivers did but I know those guys did.
There is a company out of NY called Broadway, they haul for the broadway shows and then some, you have the option of loading or not, last I heard besides the line haul you get paid an extra $35 n hour to "participate" in the loading( assessorial)
