My current job isn’t hazmat or tanker, although my first job was. There’s nothing that says you can’t do hazmat tanker as your first driving job. I let my hazmat expire and never needed to renew it.

If you can relocate, that will open up more options.

That job offer you have now is probably good then.
If you tire of that one, you'll have experience for various jobs after that.

I had 4 years invested in the Sheriffs department (1994-1999) and bailed and never looked back!!
And that was back then! LOL. I didn't put all of my eggs in the basket of trucking though.
Computer stuff and trucking combined.
