That is the company that does the Hydraulic Fracturing (Frac Company for short) after the well is drilled. Enables the oil to be released from the rock and flow out. Very hard work. Young man's job.
A driving school is not necessary to get into frac. Most don't care if you can drive only that you have the license. Most guys I work with rented a truck on their own to pass the test. Some like me got training through a company very few that I know went to a school. When you do get your license make sure you get your hazmat if you wanna get into frac. It will get you more money and make you more valuable. Some frac companies are requiring it now within 90 days of employment.
How much driving do you actually do? I think it was Sanjel that told me 10-20% was actual driving. I don't know that I could hold my own against a bunch of young guys (some fresh out of iraq) on a frac crew...lol.
Most of the time you'll dive about one or two hours out of a 100 hour week. You'll only drive when you have to rig down and move. It depends on the company and the work their doing but some rig down 2 a week and some rig down once every month. When you do drive you'll be in a convoy so you don't get lost.
