I keep calling Magnum and still only getting voice mail. I really want to go with these guys as I don't hear anything negative about them. I guess I will just go ahead and take a refresher course but Sage has 3 different refresher's ranging from about $1,000-$2800. I just wanted to talk to Magnum about which course would be acceptable to them. I'm trying to avoid the $2,800 course if I can help it!![]()

Well, after three fun-filled glorious days of getting my truck set up, working on the honey-do list, and dealing with the snow in Raleigh, I am back at it.
Now before I get started... at the sake of sounding like a total baffoon, I commited a grievous error yesterday. And rather than you hear it from someone else (like Sniper, who came by the house shortly thereafter)(he told me he was going to post a picture... hehehehe), I am going to tell you myself.
As I said, there was a snow storm (yeah, four inches, but pretty major for Raleigh in March) and the day before, it rained like I dunno what. Well I had my truck in the driveway and had turned it around so it would be facing out for today. Well, as I was turning it into the slot, the left steer dropped off the hardened part and sunk right up to the rim and the drives were just spinning on the rocks. MAN was I ticked.... then of course, Linda had to come out and give me a lecture (like that helped my state of mind). Of course, I had no choice but to call a wrecker to pull me out.
$150 later, "Little Man" (my pet name for the truck)(long story) was free from the clutches of Mother Earth and all was right with the world again. And this morning, I came out to load the last few items and there was Linda, washing the tires. "We can't have you driving down the road with mud on your tires...".
So there..... the cat is out of the bag. And a lesson well learned.
So I am running a load to Wisconsin from North Carolina. Got sort of a late start (late load time), so I decided to shut it down in Wytheville, VA (home of the IronRyder). I have plenty of time between now and Friday to get it there, so rather than run the WV mountains for the first time in the dark, it only made sense to kick back here.
But all is well... truck runs great. I now have a microwave and a bunch of groceries, so I won't go poor making Flying J rich. There is just something about cooking your own food and not having to decipher "just exactly what is that on the buffet". ehehehehehehe
Anyway, just thought I'd say hi and bring ya'll up to speed.

LoL wow..ScooterDawg did you ever get the crater filled in..lol.. Here is a pic from a recycling plant here in Raleigh. Guess the driver only wanted to weigh half the truck

Maybe he thought a motorcycle was trying to pass him.

Linda has already added it to my honey-do list for the next time.
Just got my next loadout -
Wisconsin to NC - picks up tomorrow afternoon and delivers Monday - easy run. -
Just kiddin'
I buried a straight truck once, so bad that when I opened the door I was on level ground... -
Take care -
Ok, ok.... a little picky, but that's me. I figure it was just one of those life lessons that one must experience before they die hehehehehehe
