Did you perhaps ask the person who directed you to pick up the truck?
-
They will pay for the rental car and reimburse you for the gas. Just put the gas through for expense reimbursement. If you were already getting paid for orientation then you wouldn't get paid to drive to get your truck. Are you already an existing driver? Don't think they'll pay you to drive and get it if you already are a driver getting a different truck
-
No new driver and don't have money so how do they expect you to pay for gas to go get a truck and orientation is over so I'm not getting orientation pay so they should pay something for driving 7 hours
-
Well, either have them get a greyhound ticket for you if you have no money perhaps.
If you went to orientation, you got paid for it. If you were out with a trainer, you got training pay for that time too. So basically, with orientation and time with a trainer, you probably have AT LEAST two weeks of pay. Did you get your money yet? During your orientation/training period you are on training pay/salary, which should have been at least $60/day. So yeah, you would still be on training pay when you are driving to get your truck, so yeah, you would get paid for your time. -
I went as experienced are orientation is 2 and half days me and another guy have to got tomorrow to get our trucks so no we haven't received any pay checks yet are first one is next Friday we only get paid for the three days we completely today no other pay until we enter our trucks and start rolling

See if you can get a personal advance.
