Good god no. That's the kind of attitude that makes sure we never get ahead. Treat yourself right. No load is worth your health or life.

Eating lots of fiber, cutting WAY back on sugar, & avoiding caffeine can help with bathroom issues.

Wash hands often, get your vitamin D levels up.
Plenty of online doctors to write you a prescription. I got bit by a tic that ended up testing positive for Lyme Disease and an online doc prescribed me an antibiotic that I picked up at a Walmart.
You'll get hit with something eventually. It's inevitable. A "truckers only malady". Sixteen pound weight loss in a single day. Kidneys shutting down with a two year rehab 2000 miles away from home. A cyst the size of a softball beneath your belly button that decides to blow up one fine spring day.
Just don't panic. LOLLast edited: May 24, 2025
hope not dumb twucker and CalculatedRisk Thank this. -
The real misery begins when you get a toothache on the road. Every OTR company I worked for never had dental insurance and required 2 weeks lead time to get home.
2 weeks of a rotting tooth before you can do anything about it. Then you get smacked with 2k dollar bill.
Take care of your teeth above all else.Arctic_fox, D.Tibbitt, Lennythedriver and 2 others Thank this. -
Have heard this A LOT. My teeth aren't or weren't the greatest. I'm on the process of getting the remaining (3 left to pull), and getting dentures. My oral health went to #### after I dropped over 350.lbs. that and some other issues set me up for a world of hurt with my teeth, so I made the decision to get them all pulled or cut out.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
