I am SURE I read something about this somewhere on this forum but I can't find it. I got a different truck last week, and the previous driver was obviously a very heavy smoker. I have used nearly an entire bottle of Febreze and the smell just keeps coming back. It is pervasive and disgusting. Suggestions? How do I get good air back in the truck? It is so bad that people think I smoke because it is in my clothes, etc. just from being in the truck. Yuk! I can hardly stand myself... and it is sometimes hard to get to sleep. I have to treat the sleeper with Febreze before I can go to sleep, and by morning... it's back.![]()

You need to use a cleaner on all of the materials. Not just make the air smell nice for a while.

Put downy(or comparable) fabric softener sheets in the air vents...You'll never know there was ever smoke in there...I smoke in my truck and people can't tell it smells so nice!

I usually scrub down the ceiling, doors, any vinyl areas with lysol/bleach wipes, replace the mattress and resolve the seats. The dryer sheets is a new one, and sounds like it would work pretty good.
