As a former smoker and over weight guy 6'3 255 I started eating sunflower seeds, dry roasted peanuts and cashews on a regular basis. Cut down as well on the truckstop pizzas and burgers and up my salad intake. I reduce filling my pilot jugs up with soda 2-3 times a day to 1 max and than water for the remainder of the day. I have done this for about 5-6 months now. I was at 255 and now at 230 and smoke free. I do feel better but I'm just starting my goal is 220.. Gl

Look at just changing your diet, what you are eating will make a big difference. More proteins, grains, fruits, nuts and veggies. Get a plan you can live with Body Builder.com had great diet plans I used. Exercise was the hardest part with this type of work, no real schedule to work with. So any time I stop I do something walking, lunges, stair step something. Again Body Builder.com had programs requiring no equipment or very little. Quitting smoking is tough to do without a plan of attack so good luck. The above should help with this.
