8 yr degree in Speech Pathology. Working at a full time Rehab ( nursing) home. After 10 mo . Fully certified. Then more doors open up. It’s a complicated field, way above my comprehension. Basically works in Medical field with Stroke, Cancer , etc. patients. Others work in Schools ( Speech Therapists). Either way huge shortage of qualified people. I have a neighbor and an old friend also whose Kids are going into same field. Last thing I would have thought of but a stable Career. Paid continuing education, unbelievable medical, matching 401k. All much better than I ever see offered, but it took a lot of studying and time to accomplish. My advise was do it and get it done.Dont stretch it out worrying about money. You hear so much these days. Like anything One has to get the facts before making a Career decision. They need encouragement and a little push sometimes. And of-course. praise( when deserved)

Having been through business cycles in the past, one thing I've learned is to not become complacent when the gravy is flowing, but to live below my means, pay forward and save some cash.

As happens in every downturn, there are many who don't and unfortunately get flushed right down the toilet.

I have a job for him :) That’s an excellent field. Although I doubt many people think so.

My daughter had speech issues when she was very young. And my mom had a stroke. I’m very familiar with his chosen path. And grateful for people like him. :)

    My bad :)
But also know her pain. My daughter and niece are Nurses. They both work with the elderly and others on hospice care. I don’t see how they can handle it some days.
