Getting truck to Road Test location- Texas Road Test a month out

I know in Idaho you dont need a cdl to rent one... I know a 19 year old kid with a class d licence that rented a very large pensky truck to move hima and several if his friends to Missouri.... But when he wanted to come back home he couldnt even rent a car... He had to be 21, so I met him in St. Louis and he rode back home with me in my truck.

So i think it all depends on where you are located.

 

Just change your medical card self-certification status from CDL operation requiring DOT medical Exam to CDL operation not requiring DOT medical exam and make sure you never use your CDL to operate anything that would require a DOT medical exam. I believe my state is similar to all other states. There are 4 types of CDL driving. Only 1 of those 4 requires DOT medical exam for interstate driving.

 

You are over thinking it. Take your dad with you, the test officer does not ask to see his license.
