I never had to take these on or off permanently that much due to the strong type of Velcro backing used on them. But after road debris cracked my windshield good, had to get that replaced and haven't been able to get it to stay with either those 3M Velcro packs(which are probably meant for kids artwork or some thing) or those generic packs of superglue sold at most truck stops(haven't found time, or early onset Dementia causes me to forget Gorilla or Loctite when going to some place that has it).

Anywho, anyone have a surefire way to keep these units on the windshield that actually work? So far, it's a combination of the weak superglue and an old beanie scrunched up and wedged between the bottom of the PrePass and a posse-box clipboard laying on the dash. I suppose I could also see if the shop has any extra Velcro packs specific for the Prepass unit. But then I'll have to explain the glue mess on the windshield.

    Gobbless.

I use the white plastic (hard) velcro they sell at the truck stops and make sure the windshield is clean

Ours were held on with regular velcro. Just clean the glass really well with alcohol before you stick it on.

I've always wondered about folk who use tape in their houses. What do you do when you wanna move something or just get tired of it. Tape tends to take stuff with it when it comes off.
