    Howdy

Ill be starting a new job with GG Barnett Co from Juneau WI.
I thought I might try somethin here as the time with them progresses.

Once I am settled in I'll give an account of how things are going here and what I might see as good or bad (w/o compainin) about the company.

So follow along as Im sure one of these times they will have more openings and from my posting you might get a sense of what the company is like. Just remember I am going in a bit blind but have been trying to get back on the road for some time so this may be a bit fun and frustrating at times, so bear with me.

Well Ill see yall on the flip side and hope to see some of you out there on the road.

Take care and keep on trucking.

    JustSonny Thanks this.

    Howdy,
Got through with my first week on the job and what a week its been.
Nearly forgot how tough it is with traffic, time restraints, and the confusion at times for shippers/receivers. But got back in full swing.
Im driving a 06' KW T600 w/ a C-13 Cat 10spd double bunk with dual 150tanks. She drives good but has a hard time climbin them hills.

Ive been around the upper Mid states goin from Wi to Mi to Ne to SD and back to Wi. About 2k mi this week and quite an adventure to say the least.

Well I ll keep ya posted

JustSonny, misterG and wolfpack67 Thank this.

Sorry I have forgotten to update this till now.

Otherwise, all is going well. Got about 3000 mi in last week and this week got about 2500.
So far they are treating me well and I follow orders while being able to keep it all legal and have no issues of trouble beside all the other idiots on the road making it difficult to drive.

Well nothing else to report so far so

Keep on trucking and see yall on the road.

    Lonesome and JustSonny Thank this.

Sorry Ive not updated this for awhile. Been busy with the new job.
So far cant complain to much. Idiots in Chicago, shippers taking ferever to load, recvin takin ferever to uld, outrageous fuel prices, etc etc, etc.

Other than that been gettin about 2400 - 2700 mi a wk avg. Still going hard and heavy at times but never a dull moment.

Well hittin the hay for the night so

Keep on truckin and take care.

    JustSonny and Lonesome Thank this.

Since its a new year, I'll give the last few months in review altho not a full year here. Avg close to 2400 mi a week. some weeks were less others were real busy. Least week was about 1200 and best week almost 3300. Still make for a good size check which was close to 1100 b4 taxes, net was about 850. I've found if I ran over 2600 or more miles it would be a really good check. Under that was and avg check of about 600-750 after taxes depending on miles for the week.

Everyone has been super in helpin me with truck needs or being able to see my family in different areas. I have been able to give extra help as needed to keep the flow going.

As this year continues I'll do my best to give updates as it goes along.
Take care and keep on a truckin

Hey Smokey.....nice posts glad to hear that Barnett is treating you right!!! Do they still require drivers to have HazMat? I looked at them when I left Celadon but needed the HazMat endorsement and I really didn't have the scratch to get that. They seemed like honest folfs when I talked to them.....Keep on trucking driver...be safe

    Hey Rock,
Yes they do require it but if you dont have they will still work with you.
Give them a call if your still interested. Just remember tho an excellent record is suggested but just know they will do a complete check upon application.

side note: check out my link from the memorials page.

Thanks for checkin in and keep on tryin.
