Any one have any current information about Giltner? I am interested in the company side and NOT their lease. Any current or former drivers that can give me info? I have looked at their website and it claims 1000 mile avg LOH, and their trucks have APU's. Need info on miles per week, month, how are they to work for, etc. Do their drivers have difficulty with charges and reimbursements, etc. I know its reefer, so no need to go into all of that, because I am an experienced driver. Just want to know about detention pay, layover pay, how the dispatchers are to work with, and all. Thanks in advance.![]()

Did you ever get any info on Giltner? I am going to Jerome on Tuesday to start orientation. I hope they are a good company as I am tired of the crap the mega carriers put you through.

Watch your paper work and be ready to prove all loads and labor. I worked for them for one month and they didn't pay me to help load carpet. Also they added an extra drop with extra mileage and I was never payed.
If you haul salad mix from L.A., they are hot loads [perishable] and they expect them delivered yesterday. You will be cooking the logbook or else facing an early termination! -
I worked for them a few years ago..great people, great operation. Real dispatch pros. I quit when they went to elogs, but I made a bundle of money before that. Downside: Mountains roads/ Ice / Light Loads.
But a good operation, if you have the right attitude.
