Austin makes me want to build a Killdozer v2 and go on a murdering spree lol.

Do you run solo or team with FFE?

Glad you asked! I like Amarillo quite a bit actually, and there seems to be a decent amount of trucking jobs relative to the population.

Abilene is a decent place as well imo.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Abilene is terrible. No one should ever move there. Its freezing cold half the year and blistering hot the rest. There's no jobs there and everyone will hate you if you move there.

I’m far from iron-willed, but I have no problem avoiding truck stop food. I put a fridge and a toaster oven (I prefer that to a microwave) in my truck, have a hot water kettle and a French press coffeemaker, carry 2 1/2 gallon water jugs (the kind with the spigot), and I cook up a weeks worth of easily heated meals every Sunday that I put in Tupperware and keep in my fridge. Oatmeal and coffee for breakfast. Easy as pie!

Spent a weekend with a cousin I hadn't seen in 40 years a few weeks ago in Austin where he lives with his wife. I have to admit, I was impressed. They gave me the grand tour of the downtown and the university. The BBQ was out feeekin standing. Now if they could just do something about the summer heat and humidity.

Austin does get hot, but it isn’t very humid most of the time.

Honestly I'm not as pissed as I thought I'd be. Now I can check out moving to Houston or Dallas. What's the pros and cons of both cities
