Someone told me that if you've got your CDL on your own and are looking to just get started...Maverick is a pretty good company. I live in Southern Missouri...is Maverick a good fit? OR anyone have a better suggestion?
BTW....I'm 55, in perfect physical condition, have no family ties, perfect personal driving record (no tickets or nothing for over 10 years), and no criminal record either...
Gittin' my CDL in a week or two...got a question about a company to start with...

Maverick is a good starter, put a year in then plenty of companies to explore. Good Luck

I hear maverick is good I got an app in with them hoping to drive for them

Heck you live right smack in the middle of the flatbed freight lane. It would be really hard to keep you from the house.

Are you saying that I'd be coming home frequently because of my location?

Trailiner Corporation in Springfield might be a good fit. One driver posted he works there and does a lot of West Coast turns.

Just letting you know that if you get your CDL on your own without school, you will more than likely have to go through some type of school at a company (such as Maverick's driving school) and it will cost you and you will be contractually obligated to that company unless you get lucky with a smaller company like I did.warrior81 Thanks this. -
