I agree with your action.
The other driver made the wrong choice of not protecting his load.
Had you seen both locks on trailer as required.
You probably wouldn't have made a second look.
Some people don't understand respect and honor.
The other driver seems to lack both.
So easy to follow the rules he agreed with when he was hired..
Just guessing your company also doesn't allow dropping loaded trailers and driving 20 miles away to play.
Good luck.
Give me your opinion

Where I'm from snitching is NOT respect and honor.Brettj3876, b61mack and Final Drive Thank this.

The op was concerned about his fellow drivers and family.
He says he consulted some about this situation.
His concern was with the ones that would be negatively affected by this trailer being stolen.
Why the driver that left didn't contact his dispatcher to let them know what was going on.
He might have a good reason for being gone. Sounds like he really doesn't.
Good luck. -
Not an accurate comparison but whatever helps you sleep at night. If it were me the snitch would be drinking from a straw long enough to think twice next time he drops a dime.

That would be Baltimore, right?

I’m a company owner. If I found out that you saw the unsecured trailer and didn’t try to resolve the issue, you’d be the one in the soup line.
About half the posters in this thread, I wouldn’t want working for me. I love how some posters say screw the person that signs your paycheck.crankit2152, thaistick, tbac and 12 others Thank this.
