Sup man im crete driver 5 years. I applied to poly trucking because of reading ur post. I got a call back the other day. Do you really like it there better ? I hate changing jobs but in the past 5 years being here isnt as fun as it used to be. I have to fuss to keep miles up and i feel like a little kid here. My next step is to set up an interview. How much hometime you get ? Unlike the other crete drivers I did make 61000 this year but im not happy.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

JD , it was a pleasure meetin ya , Chemster , Elsriver and I along with 9 other Poly drivers in 3 car loads all went to dinner Friday night. I must say the camaraderie here at Poly is a rarity in Trucking ! I should have stuck around and gotten to know these drivers better , sorry I had to run the way I did guys , the Blackhawks made history tonight in the 17th game of the season they're 14-0-3 for a total of 31 of a possible 34 points. Best start in NHL history. It time to get home and bring my Colors back on the road with me for the trips to Buffalo Wild Wings , I have a high $$$ Blackhawks heavily insulated Leather Jacket sitting at home , I've been reluctant to bring it on the road for fear of 5TH wheel grease. With the way these guys are playing Hockey the Jacket is a must , just a matter of getting to it. Take care guys be safe out there. Jd I hope the iron stays in it's box , that's the best place for it.

so true its nice to be able to have a group of people to hang out with instead of being locked up in the truck while waiting. Even when you dont know another driver you can talk and enjoy there company they dont walk away. enjoyed dineer with everyone.

All junk OTR companies make it sound like there is too much work. There isn't for the most part. On the surface, they need to advertise for drivers constantly which makes a person think they have too much work. That's just common sense. If you read the employment section of a newspaper, those are genuine ads for employment. OTR trucking ads do not work like that.
See, OTR companies advertise because they can't keep drivers. Just look in any truckstop magazine and you will see what I mean. Those are the companies you should avoid.
And everyone should be paid in one way or another as long as they are on duty and in the service of their company.
Good luck to you. I hope you find a career in trucking and not just a job.
