I believe you can although I chose direct deposit. Paydays are on friday. You can get advances. I was actually offered a trip to Maryland yesterday so you should be ok. So far I'm liking this better than Crete. I'm treated like a person with a name and a brain. :biggrin_25524:

Poly has loads going to Hagerstown every week, so some coordination with dispatch should get you there. Strict NO RIDER policy.

I left Crete 1.5 yeas ago to come here. NO REGRETS! Working here is almost the way it used to be at Crete.

    Good luck.

Ok..it's been three weeks now since I applied. Was told my app was in review over a week ago and things looked good. Hope to hear something this week since I am going home friday for my hometime. Would hate for them to call right after I return to work. I heard they call you in for physical and.interview before they offer you a job so I just can't return home until two weeks out at least. If I knew I was going to be hired I would just quit here at Gordon. But I really don't want to do that. Have done well here the last four years but poly is a definite move up. They pay increase is one thing but more flexible hometime and non forced dispatch is very attractive. Like the idea of not having someone micro manage every aspect of my job. I am an experienced responsible driver and it drives me nuts when some wondertard behind a computer screen who has never riden in a truck tries to tell me I can make runs that I know cannot be done...hope to join the poly family soon..

tow614, the only thing you can do now besides wait, is to send an enquiring email about every ten days. Good luck.

I added up my miles for the first quarter of this year, 34,763. Spent 80 days on the road, but this doesn't account for the few times I passed thru the house for the night. I'm happy.

Did I mention I love my job?

Anyone want to buy my Poly shirts cheap? I have about 25 of them. Most have never been worn. A couple months before leaving Poly (unexpectedly) a little over a year ago I ordered 20 red pullovers from Queensboro Shirt. They're 100% cotton and have the required "Poly Trucking" on the front in small letters. They don't have any pockets.

The rest are those standard blue Poly button-ups, plus one red Poly pullover. Everything's size XL.

Poly's not going to rehire me so I'm ready to sell now. I am willing to drive over to the Kingman TA from Laughlin to meet the buyer, since I realize Poly trucks almost never go through Laughlin. (Last year I actually spotted one parked over at the Avi Casino a few miles south of Laughlin, still in Nevada but just a stone's throw from CA! Have no idea what it was doing over there. Pretty sure Poly-West drivers aren't supposed to apply the 10% rule to run by the house.)

I'll let the shirts go for $50 in Kingman. If you can somehow meet me in Laughlin, I'll sell them for $40.

Well 1st quarter update for 2013. I was out the same number of days as JD (80) which included 3 resets and 1 breakdown day. Total miles was 33,273. Several somewhat squandered productive days while working out home time trips which surely cost me 1000 miles or so. Hopefully with not having to be home for a set day in the next few outings this won't be as big of a problem. All in all things are going fine with just minimal BS issues to deal with on occasions.

Enjoying my days off this week while my daughter is on Spring break. Got to go drop off my current load tomorrow about 1.5 hours up the road and then returning home until Monday.
