Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Well got my load to Henderson backed up with a load to Sumner, WA right after. Going to book it on over to Poly West in two days and do a reset so that should put me at 2650 miles in 4 days followed by a nice Friday of pokering

You have found my true weakness.. should i get hired we will have to get together.. i try to play every chance i get..almost quit trucking to try to make it as a grinder but i got to wait until the wife finishes school before i can consider it. Was hoping with poly's liberal time off policy that i might have the time available to at least play on a semi pro level..but everyone needs something to fantasize about..lol..

I Live just North of Atlanta and can get home pretty regular sometimes everyweekend if I ant and I know another driver in Lithia springs too the have lots of runs to Ga and atlanta

 

Wow, going to be some solid running this next week. Already get a call from backhaul today to pick up a load in Selah, WA after I deliver in Sumner, WA on Monday to bring it back to Henderson for Wednesday and then hopefully I will be able to arrange another load leaving out of here on Wednesday back up to Washington. Right at 6400 miles in 11 days since coming off home time including a reset if all goes as I have planned.

Haven't been to Henderson in 5 months so was worried my car might not crank up but she fired up with no problem. Love my old Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser

 

Really good news about your miles! I haven't really started live poker but am hoping to get really involved if I get hired on. I am curious, does Poly deliver to Dollar General dc's? Scottsville KY is about 30min from where I live now in Lafayette TN. If my home address is a sticking point, I'm looking at using my brother's or mother's address in Clarksville TN, very close to the Hopkinsville KY Walmart DC. I know the hiring process takes awhile and am happy with Gordon Trucking, so I'm good to stay until I hear from GP. Thanks again, majestic, jdrentzjr, and sonofatrucker for all the great info! I don't think we deal with DG but I have been to that WM DC in Hopkinsville. From where you live it should be no problem though getting home.

 

I delivered south of Detroit Tuesday morning then reloaded that afternoon in Dowagiac,MI for delivery in Durant,OK on Thursday morning. After that I rolled back to GP & after watching some safety videos took the rest of the day off. Left this morning going to Wilton,NY for Monday morning, then on to Raymond,NH for Tuesday morning.

Turn & burn. $$$

 

Solid day at the poker tables (felted a nice little old lady from Plano when I turned the nuts versus her top set Followed that up with a nice dinner at a local Chinese Buffet restaurant. I love Vegas.

 

Well all things working out as planned. Picked up a load of applesauce and taking it down to Henderson for delivery on Wednesday morning and then hooking up with another load out of the terminal going to Blaine, WA for Friday. That will put me at around 3550 miles in 6 days with 13 or so hours left on my 70 so a real shot at turning 4000+ miles in a week. Only bad part is a lot of late night driving lately that has me pretty worn down but dealing with it.
