Never seen ice on a wheel hub like that before, pretty cool.

What a strong day. ###### weather and roads this morning. Threw some iron and did my good deed for the day and helped someone else that didn't know how chain up. Got to the shipper after the broker said load was 44K, no problem. Shipper says can you carry 45K, yeah no problem. Get loaded and scale down the road and I am over gross by 520 and in one of those position where I couldn't really slide anywhere and I had a chicken coop to deal with before I could burn enough fuel off anyway. So I took the scale ticket back to the shipper and told them some had to come off and it was like I had ##### slapped somebody. "Oh, I though you could carry 45K, we will have to call the customer and get permission to remove one pallet". So the guy calls and meanwhile I back up to dock and another guy comes out and claims how lucky I am that they will take a pallet off after being loaded. Well long story short the customer says just cancel the load if I can't bring the total amount so I said fine take the rest of them off. More ###### remarks and I told the guy, hey I can carry 46K and a little change if it is loaded right but I can't carry 47K regardless of what weight you want to put on the bills. Then another smart ### says well I will remember you and the next time don't come in here again without an empty scale ticket so I went out and got my last empty scale ticket from the yard showing I weighed 33660 with the same amount of fuel that I currently had. Take that MF.

Oh well no skin off my back. I called dispatch and they said cool, no problem and told me just to roll back to Denver and await something else in the morning. So with all said and done still turned a little over 400 miles for the day.

At the end of last week I didn't get the transfer load from Mont Bellvieu to Henderson I was wanting. Instead I reloaded in Pasadena on Friday afternoon going to Arlington,TX for a Monday morning delivery. Tried to get it delivered by a local driver so I could keep moving, but no dice. However it worked out for the best as I have a brother in Huntsville,TX on vacation at the expense of the state of Texas that I was able to stop and visit on Saturday morning.

While making delivery on Monday I called outbound to make sure I was on the board. I was given a laundry list to choose from and took a Hooksett,NH that I will deliver in the morning (Thursday). Then I go to Watkins Glen,NY to pick up a load going to Grapevine,TX for delivery on Monday morning. After that I'm driving my personal vehicle home for a few days R&R.

Last week I turned 4275 miles in 8 days. This week should be 3700+/- in seven days.

The nice thing about his situation at the shipper is that dispatch was so easy to deal with. No second guessing and needless questioning.

You guys are making me so envious sometimes. I have been waiting 7 weeks now and keep getting the same response. My app is still being reviewed. It is a bit distressing. Been driving 11 years with no accidents and no tickets no csa points. They say i live in the right area in Tennessee right on 40 but nobody can give me any info. They haven't returned phone calls for a week. About to the point that i am going to forget about it and stay where i am. Have been here 4 years and wouldn't go anywhere else but poly..the only reason i am wanting to change is the time off policy..only get one day for seven out here. Oh well.. they say.good things come to those who wait..

Just hang in there and keep trying. The getting on process can be so much different than you might expect and it doesn't always have a pattern from one person to the next. You can stay right where you're at and keep plugging at them here at Poly. Hopefully it'll pay off in the end. I can't express enough how much it's improved so many things for me and my family. Good luck with it and take care out there.

Going to be busting ### for another couple of days as racing against the clock for a Friday delivery so I am not stuck all weekend. Drove back to Parachute, CO, about 215 miles west of Denver and picked up another load of baking soda from a different location that weighs in at 45,500 pounds and I scaled out at a tad under 79K so the other company was indeed trying to screw me over. Made it back to Colby, Kansas tonight and will have to do the split sleeper tango for the next couple of days before reaching my delivery point in Fairfield, OH. Looking to be another real solid week.
