Made it in to GP on the last second of my 70 yesterday:) Put the old girl on the list for a PM which they are getting around to now. When it is done repowering a load down to Miami so it looks like winter time is over for me for a while. Haven't been down to southern Florida since I visited Key West about 10 years ago so looking forward to the trip.

Well first third of the year in the books and not too shabby although my home time hasn't been much to talk about. This month may crack the 14K mile mark if all continues as planned as I am staying out the remainder of the month and so far already turned 4500 miles in the first 9 days.

    Miles
    Jan: 13140 (1 home day)
    Feb: 10287 (2 home days)
    March: 9846 (6 home days)
    April: 11758 (6.5 home days)
    --------------
    45031 total (11257.75/month)

    Extra drop pays: 72 ---- 2160.00

    Hometime: 15.5 days

How long does Poly hold on to your app? Has anyone ever interviewed who didn't get hired?

Came off home time last Thursday instead of Friday as a favor to deliver a short run to New Braunfels,TX. Was told there was a Pol-Tex backhaul assigned to that run which I could drop in GP on Friday and have my pick of outbound loads for Saturday. Yeah, not so much.

Instead of going to Pol-Tex I went to Laredo, which ment I couldn't get back to GP till Saturday morning, plus it didn't deliver till Monday. Was not a happy camper at first, but after a QComm message stating what I was told and that I was requesting a 900 DIFF (authorize to drop in GP and have a local driver del) so I could get an outbound for Saturday, all was good again as the request was granted and I got a trip to Plainfield,CT for delivery this past Tuesday.

After the CT delivery I went to West Warrick,RI to reload coming back to Ft Worth for delivery this morning. Only problem was I arrived at the shipper at noon and they took TEN HOURS to load me. So I had to drive the early, early shift to GET 'ER DONE. Oh well, such is the life of the truck driver. Broker said detention request has been submitted. We'll see.

I leave Sunday going to Burlington,NJ.

poly called me yoday for the phone interview and told me he would forward information to hiring manager. And call me back Monday on their decision. If approved set up interview in GP.

Good luck, my phoner was last Tues and received email today stating they were still waiting on requested info to come in. I'll be glad when I hear back because then I'll know what my fate is at Gordon. If I don't get the job with Poly, I can live with staying put. In her email, Meghan said to reapply at the 3 month mark. Hope everyone has a safe weekend! And Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there!

Decided to take my 34 reset at Lee, FL instead of heading on down to the shipper tomorrow. First time stopping at this Love's but lots of parking and no trucks so I got a nice spot on the back 40 to myself and got the grill fired up. Got my backhaul info already. Picking up on Merritt Island on Monday and taking it back to GP terminal. So getting to put myself on next Thursday's outbound list this early should make for a nice load selection.

On a bad note one of the hoses on my apu collapsed so got to get that repaired on the the road in Mobile next week. Shouldn't take long but wasted some good ice cream:)

    sc00ter Thanks this.
