Thanks, I really appreciate the info. I had read a lot of the thread but caught up on more today. There is some great advice in here. Poly would be my dream employer but not sure they would hire me because I've switched companies and careers a few times over the years. I'm getting ready put in applications with a few companies before I leave Crete and just doing some more research.

If you live in the SLC area I think you should put your application in. From what I hear Poly is short drivers to freight coming out of Henderson,NV plant. Living in SLC area makes it very easy to get you home. Just remember, if you live out west you will run out west, which means you will be expected to chain up during winter. Since you live in a prime area HR may be willing to over look your employment history. I know they've worked with others in the past who had numerous jobs. Good luck! & get that application in asap!

Bald Knob just north at exit 55. Two places there but the one next to the Sonic has $3 showers..DO NOT eat the buffet unless you see them bring the food out...haha

The travel plaza next to sonic has great food. I hauled logs for 6 months from my town in arkansas down to crosset ar and I would stop there every night for dinner. I love the food and the showers are great. The place across the street is okay but its just a c store with maybe room for 30 trucks.
If you take the exit in searcy for the sams club.. there is a huge gravel lot you can park in. You see it from the road. On right if your going south.

Thanks DM. Kicked off the load in Villa Rica this morning and grabbed a loaded trailer from Roswell, GA. Made it back to Breaux Bridge, LA tonight. Dropping the load off in Waller, TX tomorrow then loading up at Mont Belvieu for a run back up to GP tomorrow night for another fun filled day:) Managed to be on the good side of the road today following two pretty bad accidents that had traffic backed up for miles.

I got sick as a dog after eating the buffet. It may have been a freak occurrence but I never take a second chance. People there a super nice and can't beat a $3 shower.

It musta been. My dad runs through there on a weekly sometimes daily basis and stops and eats there religously. A really good place to eat in bald knob is a place called who dats. You just go south past the truck stops and youll see it in a mile or two. You need to be bob tail or have a little trailer to get in tho.. best steaks and crawl dads youll find around.
