Sounds like things are starting to shape up a little for you out there. They usually will show you available around 2 hours after your last delivery. However, you can update that time by calling or sending a message on the QualComm. As far as putting yourself on an Outbound Board, you can do that as soon as you know you will be at one of the locations. In other words, if you know on Tuesday that you can be at Cottage Grove by Friday then you can put yourself on Friday's Board. Once again, you can call or use the QualComm. Now, don't forget about your BackHaul. That comes first if the outbound load you have isn't going to one of the yards. For example, if your load was a Walmart load going to Indiana and you didn't already have instructions to go to Cottage Grove then you would be making sure BackHaul knew when you were available for next load. You would NOT try to put yourself on the Outbound Board yet. You would need to know where and when your BackHaul was to be complete. Once you knew that then you could figure out when and where to put yourself on an Outbound Board. It's not that complicated but may sound like it when trying to type it out. It IS something you want to understand completely when and how to do. You'll get lots of practice at it but believe me. It sucks if you don't do things like your supposed to do. You'll screw yourself on loads and so on if you don't do it correctly. You'll see what I mean once you've been here a little while and something gets missed or not communicated as expected. Hope that helps! Take care out there! :)

Communication is key on many things at Poly. Not much different in that department than any other company that plans to be successful. Now Rocks, since you seem to get that then you really should MAKE TIME to read the rest of the thread if you haven't already. Not cool to say you don't have time to read it and then ask a bunch of questions that have been covered a few times. I mean, come on. The time it takes to type your questions and then wait for some of us to answer may take longer than reading the thread. Besides, do we need to take up OUR TIME if you don't have time to do more than what you've done? It's great you have questions and most everyone on here will try and help you with answers. However, if you really want to take us and Polly serious then do a little more home work on here. You will have more questions but maybe they'll be questions that haven't been answered several times already. Look forward to reading more from YOU! Now do some more reading! Take care! :)

Bloomington,MN is very close to Cottage Grove so no need to contact backhaul. Outbound should have already put you in the system, but you can still send the macro for when you will be available for next load.

Yes, you need to call in the morning and make sure you are on the Outbound Board at Cottage Grove. In your case this time you DO NOT need to mess with BackHaul. They probably put you on the board as you thought but you need to double check when you get a chance tomorrow. Anytime your load delivers that close to one of the main facilities then you deal with Outbound and not BackHaul. You could've put yourself on the Cottage Grove board when they gave you that load. Since you were delivering that close then you already know when you should be available there. Like I mentioned. Outbound probably put you on the board at the time he said he would show you available. You should still check on that to be sure. Hope that helps!

I respect what you said man and I tell YOU that I am doing the best I can... Have been spending all day for a few days now till wee hrs (yesterday till 2:30 am) reading this thread among many others about companies. HAVE ALSO been checking companies websites, FMCSA website for their safety records, calling some, sending emails and much more. I definitely understand your point and agree in part... I would like to get as much info as I can as soon as possible. I KNOW that's not YOUR problem but also, nobody is forced to answer if they don't want or don't have time. Let me make this clear. I TOTALLY understand that. In any case, I DO appreciate those taking their time to answer my questions. :biggrin_25519: One more thing, it does take more time for me to read dozens and dozens of pages with a lot of info that is not much of my interest than to type a few key questions. Although I believe my English is not too bad, it is my second language... If it were the other way around, someone asking me a few questions, I would be glad to answer them at my best convenience... Take care you too :0)

It's all good and that sounds much better. I'm glad you took a minute or two to type that out. Most of my comments were directed at what I had read to this point. I understand there is a lot to read and a lot of it isn't information you may need at this point or ever. Up until now it just sounded a little lame. I know quite well that we don't have to answer anything we don't want to. You weren't twisting my arm. I DO like to help out when or if I can. It really sounded like you were just fishing for some answers and not putting much into it. Guess you are doing more than it seemed. Thanks for your thoughts and reply. Good luck in your journey to find what you're looking for and if I can help I will. Thanks again!
