Hey, you back in your truck or still out in that Volvo? I had some A/C trouble in my truck. Only real trouble since I got it back in October. They had like 3 trucks available that were a little newer than mine so I picked out one and just moved into it. I've ran out to Ohio and back to GP with it. Now I'm out in Henderson with it and it's doing very good. It has about half the miles my other one did and I like how it drives. I'm going to take it easy at the Casino tonight and head out for Sumner tomorrow. This will make the eighth load I've taken out there this year. I love it. Ran the Southeast most all winter and now the Northwest in the Summer. Thanks again for leaving me all these loads I've been getting(Just-kidding). Grilled food sounds good as always. Hope things get rolling the way you want on your next load. Be careful out there.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Hey bro, Glad to hear things are rolling along well with you. Unfortunately when I returned to GP nothing had been done on the Volvo. So I wrote everything up again and called the shop about it this morning to make sure it was being looked into this time. Blamed APU hasn't been working in this one since I took it out of GP late June so I have just been idling to keep cool. I doubt that the Volvo will be fixed by the time I get back into GP on Thursday afternoon as there was several things that needed to be looked into but I suppose that is ok as I will just keep riding along in the old Maxxforce burning up miles without needing another PM due on it for a while and can start again fresh when the Volvo is ready.
Anyone ever picked up a load out of Amalgamated Sugar here in Loveland and delivered back to GP to another AS? I see that it is near our yard but if it is not a drop and hook think I will try to 900 it on Thursday so I don't have to deal with it on Friday. -
Ok, so you are out in a newer ProStar than mine. I still have one with the Cummins in it. I thought the APU's were better in those MaxForce trucks. I still believe the diesel power APU's are the way to go. Unfortunately, they were to good for us drivers so they got to go to these crap electric things. I got spoiled with the truck I had before I came to Poly. It had a Nice Working ThermoKing Tripac on it. That thing would frost you out if you cranked it down and with the 2500 watt built in inverter it had endless power to run whatever I wanted. I miss it but I don't miss the JOB that came with it. Lol
Well, I hope they get your ride fixed and you get some good load choices for your next trip out. Good to hear from you on here and Take Care out there. -
majestyk , i'm in Pueblo , to delvr Target 7/17 and then Loveland 1130 7/18 if 3367 will make it. EGR Valve may be losing coolant and its blowing out the exhaust , this thing is a shop commando ! I have and extra gal of coolant for tomorrow and may need to buy another before getting into Loveland and on to aurora co intl. Then I have a feeling its gonna be 2 or 3 days in a motel. The Miles have been pretty good guys , june was a butt kicker 6/2 thru 6/27 with 2 days in motel in Knoxville while it was at cummins , still about 9000 miles then another 1300 G.P to Springfield Oh and dropped at shop 18miles from home for engine valve , got her home a couple days later left out the 10th and 40 miles later needed an alternater. Now EGR vale I'm trying not to let it interfere with my delvry majestyk but if I have to put this down in Pueblo tomorrow I guess unless someone recovers to Loveland for 1130 on the 18th it'll need a reschedule.

As some of you may know I was moonlighting 3 to 4 nights a week during hockey season. As it's now over and the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup , the guilt trip began setting in. Not having been here in so long so , here I am after an hr of trying to remember my password cause its been a few months. Hope every things been goin good for y'all , and without reviewing last 20 pages or so , welcome to the guys that are now poly drivers since I've last posted. I'll probably update myself to who those are very soon as I expect I'll be lodging when the beast of burden is sick in the shop once again.
Soon I'll be giving up hope on this thing and getting with Tony to see what else is available , I'm to the point now after 10 breakdowns last 2 months it can be no worse regardless of what I choose next. I'm staying busy when the truck allows for it , for this reason I've tolerated this things deficiencies but its about worn out its welcome with me. I hope none of you have had the amount of problems I've had in the time span I mentioned above , for if you have ... hang in there as I am.Last edited: Jul 16, 2013

Just dealt with that EGR coolant issue myself last month so hopefully that is in the past. As soon as they get the old school Volvo up to snuff I will be turning this one in and you may want to see if you can snag it as it has diesel powered APU (3545).

They are suppose to be working out some appointment times, we will see.
Looks like they got someone else to cover it, best of luck getting your rig back on the road quickly. -
Yeah my dates were wacked out on the delvrys , Pueblo today 7/16 and Loveland tomorrow 1130 . Spoke to Carl for like 10minutes today he feels my pain and ensured me there is a boat load of us dealing with malfunction junction brought to you proudly by international !
As for the recovery a guy name john is on his way as of 40 minutes ago. They're tearing it down to pull the EGR cooler , he told me he didn't see anything wrong there but it's got to be disappearing internally cause there's no sign of leaks , other than visibly in the reservoir .
I'm gonna spend sometime catching up with who is now at poly , seeing how I'm in a room with not a lot to do. Thanks for the heads up on 3545 holler my way when you have some idea when you'll be getting out of it. Hey I'll pm you my # majestyk. -
I left GP on July 7th after my home time with a load to Jacksonville,FL. Reloaded in Riceboro,GA which I delivered in Hillsboro,TX Thursday morning. Went back home that night for a doctor's appointment on Friday morning.
Left GP yesterday going to Hagerstown,MD for delivery tomorrow. Then reload in Strasburg,VA tomorrow afternoon going to Houston, TX for Friday by 1330.
From there I hope to get a Pol-Tex load going to Henderson,NV or Cottage Grove,MN.
No more home time for me till Labor Day. But I do hope to pass thru in between now & then.
BTW, I've been doing the Nutri System diet. In 5 weeks I lost 15lbs.. The cost is about the same +/- as buying food from truck stop. With the discounts thru my wife's employer I pay $250 for 28 days of food. You still have to buy veggies & other items, but even with that the cost is good. Most of the food does taste good. I paid the up-charge ($15/16) to pick my food. Plus you can use their website to change the food items around.
When I went for a physical ( my private doctor) at the end of April I tipped the scale at 303lbs (fully clothed). That's the most the 5'11" body has ever weighed. When I saw that my brain clicked to preservation mode. I will give a weight loss update after Labor Day as that is my next doctor visit.mushroom1464 and Dinomite Thank this. -
