Thanks. I certainly can lose more & am doing so. If you are going to empty out in the Houston area you can request one of those loads, although they can be hard to get as most other drivers are doing the same.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Well just hit with the old random drug alcohol test. First time in 3 years so can't complain about and got paid for 2 hours while waiting on my load to get ready so a win win I suppose. Only had 3 choices for out bound, 1 to Beaverdam, WI (4 stopper), Grovepoint, OH (4 stopper) and Galesburg, MI (4 stopper). Unfortunately they all included just WM and Target stops but spaced out ok so it shouldn't be a problem just not a lot of miles as I finish out on Monday afternoon. I selected the Michigan one with a stop in Jamestown, MO, Indy, IN, Coldriver, MI and Galesburg, MI. Haven't done any of those before.
Anyone get back your logs marked up in red for not including all the time at the shipper/customer? I always mark 15 minutes for checking in and 15 minutes checking out but they were circling the area to have all that time in between loading/unloading as on duty instead of the sleeper where I put it. I also got dinged for a 5 mile trip into shipper the following morning where I pulled up for a parking spot and logged as checking in as I usually do (Officially illegitimate I know but never had any problem with it before). Actually no one said anything just handed me back the printouts but perhaps they are analyzing things more closely or perhaps it was just a random selection. Anyone else got these on a regular basis in two or more times getting back your paperwork?mushroom1464 Thanks this. -

Yeah I didn't sweat it since no one said anything directly to me, they just handed me my pay receipts etc with it. Had plans on reaching Durant, OK tonight for some poker but the old load wasn't ready in time. Pulled up in Anna, TX and got my grilling in just in the nick of time as a thunderstorm rolled through the area.

Got unloaded in Houston this afternoon then went to Pol-Tex to pick up a transfer load to Henderson. From there I will be going to Sumner,WA for a friday morning delivery. Will probably get a RoadRunner load from there back to Texas. Anyways I'll be busy.

have not had a sleeper for a long time
last i heard you gotta log 30 minutes on duty not driving for an unload. i believe two separate 15 minute on duty periods would be unsat. i dont study the regs but notice some changes. also 30 minutes on duty to load.
the 30 minute rest break after 8 hours seems pretty micky mouse. we have no sleeper and work 12 hour shifts. we were logging all our not driving time on duty now we have to log 30 minutes off duty even though we are in the truck at a customer -
Also , if your at a chemical plant that deals with HazMat nobody likes to see bunk at a chem plant "NO ONE" I pulled H/M many years and its best to show on duty. Here's what I usually do , if it takes me 3 hrs at a chem plnt , I'll put myself line 1 or 2 til like the last 30 to 45 minutes depending on how much I'm getting or unlding. Note: less than 20 plts usually 30 , 20 or more 45 , to make it believable. The qcom can not pin point whether your inside the property or just outside it. If you log 30 to 45 min's loading there , you eliminate the 15 min check in and 15 min check out , those are only technicalities to when you're goin in the bunk in between. Quite often I eliminate that question of the bunk by showing 2 hrs off duty or a nap , then 45 minutes loading at a chemical plant. And have never been questioned. I've driven Tanks that put you on the clock upon arrival to unld bulk , it is what it is in this case , your on the clock , and log it on duty regardless of if you're bunk or not. You can be in bunk at a chem plant if given the okay by unloaders or loaders , although your company absolutely doesn't allow it for safety reasons. If questioned later about whether you were in the bunk or in the drivers seat only the galactically insane would admit they were bunk when indeed pd by the hr to be in the driver seat. I myself at some real gnarly places that deal with some funky stuff , I just plant my butt in the drivers seat , there I sit and can run in the event of a vapor cloud , in the bunk I may be found after the fact , a corpse ! -
