Yeah for me... kind of. Did a local this morning. Finished by 1030 with nothing else to do, or so I thought. Checked in at Compliance before heading out the door and was handed a piece of paper to sign. It was to acknowledge I had the required bags of chains and verify if I would or would not chain up by circling YES or NO, and then signing your name. I gave the required info and headed to the shop to change out the rusty tire chains for some fresh ones. Easier said than done.

The salt and rust glued the chains to the sides of the sidebox. Then once I was able to yank the chains out there was a significant amount of dirt, rust, and water to be cleaned out. While I was covered in rusty water I got a call from outbound. Seems there was a load going to Wilton, NY for 1100 Friday that had to leave today and would be ready at 1400? I need the miles so I eagerly said yes, got the trip number and went back to work.

I finished in short order then drive my personal vehicle to Love's for a shower and then lunch. Got the paperwork from shipping at 1430 and realized this might not be the good run I had anticipated.....TARGET.... at 1100 on a Friday.... full trailer. Given the time to unload just 4 or 5 pallets I could be there till Saturday night. o_O

Obviously I'm exaggerating, but I do expect them to take over 6 hours which means that where ever I reload, it will need to be a Saturday pick-up. I know U.S. Salt in Watkins Glen loads Saturdays so I'm expecting that as a reload. If not, oh well, it could be worse.

It's times like these that really test my words of faith. Therefore I will practice what I preach and trust God.

So what happens if you say that you will not chain?

I'm guessing they're going to use this paper to educate themselves as to who they will offer westbound loads. That is all.

    Bumper Thanks this.

Well the old Wally World is still available for parking near the N. Vernon Lowes. Lowes said I could also park along the inbound lanes as well but had to get some stuff from WM so just parked here with one of my Cretan brothers. Did manage to get a back haul into Dallas for a Friday morning delivery so hopefully outbound will have me something lined up for home time after that. Purchased me a couple of filet mignon's for some grilling to celebrate my birthday on the road somewhere tomorrow night.

On this website it says week long inspection blitz. I've gone through tx, ar, tn, va, wv, md and pa and nothing. So pay no mind to that bs. B4 i left out in this loaner truck i checked from front to back because of that. Just the usual scales open. Regular amount of state troopers in the median. Nothing out of the ordinary. Question? What are your preffered routes to uxbridge? Me, I take 20, 635, 30, 440, 40, 81, 78, 287, 87, 84 and then 90. Fuel 398 in knoxville and then in ma. Anyone got a better route then this?

Thanks for all the info on Poly. Not sure about dry van but it seems to be a solid option.

Thanks John. Well everything coming together. Got loaded up in Eaton, IN with some of those big paper rolls. Got a 900 so don't have to deal with an early Dallas delivery on Friday. Load ready to head home with on Friday.

    The route I take: I30, I440, I40, I55, I57, I70, I270, I71, I76, I80, I81, I84, I90.

I like the flatter route and I don't have to deal with I81 thru VA.

I dont work for Poly and you didnt ask me BUT I 2nd his route! About 50-60 miles longer BUT alot flatter and like he said, avoiding I81 in VA is SOOO worth it
