Been at home since the 6th. Was on the outbound board for today but freight was short causing me to spend an extra day off in Grand Prairie. Finally got a call this afternoon about 4pm. I had many loads to choose from. Will leave early in the morning going to North Canton,OH for Friday morning delivery. Should get a backhaul coming back to the DFW area, probably for Monday am delivery. That should give me about 2400 miles in four days with the ability to do a restart on Sunday (even though I won't really need it).

Then I hope to run just Texas deliveries all next week as I need to be home next weekend.

Well my best laid plans won't happen as I called the customer and can't unload early so pulled up a little early tonight in Moriarty, NM. Have some sort of electrical problem as well as whatever is powering my QC, and most of my interior lights has shot its wad and I don't think it is any fuses in the panel as I checked them all. May try and see if I can pick up another truck when I return to the yard instead of hoping they can find and fix the problem in a timely manner.

A beautiful drive today down US6, US191 and US491 through Utah, CO and NM.

 

Hello, I just recently found out that I'll be driving for Poly-Trucking soon. I recently found this forum and have learned a lot from all the Posts. So far all comments were spot on about how to apply and steps to take to try and get hired. I got online,downloaded the application,e-mailed once filled out. I waited a couple days and then called and left a message checking on status. Received a call the following day saying my information was being processed. Couple days later got another call for a phone interview. Few days passed and received another call asking if I could come do a face to face interview, drug screen and physical. Did all that a week later and then got offered a job three days later. Now I'll soon be going to orientation. I just wanted to put out this post to all of you who helped me and didn't even know it. I look forward to joining Poly Trucking and Thank all of you for helping me along in that process!
