Don't know how many Volvos they have but it ain't many:) There was about 160 trucks here at the terminal last night and mine was the only one. Hopefully it holds up well and I can stay in it a while. It has 680K on it. The have a lot of new Internationals coming in and they must be getting rid of a lot of the FL as there weren't a whole lot of them in the truck line last night.

Do they pay you the per diem in your paycheck or is that just what you can claim at the end of the year on taxes? I am on page 25 of reading this thread and I like what I see so far. Thanks for sharing your experiences with Poly.

I found the answer to my question on this. I drive for a major soft drink company and I'm home every night. I don't get paid for the amount of work I do every day. The stress level is through the roof at my job. I need to make more money and lower my stress level. This sounds like the perfect fit for me. It's been awhile since I drove OTR but I know I can adjust to that lifestyle again. The part that intrigues me the most is the generous home time options and the non-forced loads. That really appeals to me. Thanks again for sharing and I will be calling a recruiter tomorrow.

Well I guess I get to chalk up an extra day off to me learning the system. I should have put myself on the outbound board last Friday for today but failed to do so until Saturday afternoon which likely caused me not to get a load today. But I guess it could be worse. Reloaded at WM and settling in to watch the game and debate tonight.

Another thing that will probably improve with time is my load selection choices as of now I don't know what locations are associated with what cities. I got the following choices as far as cities to choose from for my load tomorrow: Loveland, CO; Searcy, AR; Dayton, TX; New Braunfels, TX; Murray, KY; Hattisburg, MS; and Kansas City, Ks/MO?. I chose the KC load. Any insights to these other locations would be appreciated as well from you old hands.
