If you live 5 miles from there why would you not seek local driver position ? They do have day cabs , if you want a OTR driving job , to think you can be home every 7 days is not realistic , unless you're on a dedicated which they do not have as OTR. You can do OTR with them and get home I'll bet you every 7 to 10 WOF. You have to communicate with them , they're not mind readers , explain to them you want an out and back , he "outbound" can put a note in the system you're looking to get back to grand prairie . Communication is everything , in 16 months only once I did not get home when I wanted to be , and it wasn't a absolute must so I can live with those percentages !

Made it to Cottage Grove yesterday .

They acknowledged I am in line for a load .

I called O/B to doublecheck , and they stated B/H would be handling it .

So i am under the impression that technically every thing is a B/H in order to get us back to PGP for an O/B

    Correct ?:biggrin_2558:

no, cottage grove would be an outbound load but they may not have any loads goin out so they may use a broker to keep u rollin which would b thru backhaul. dont think it happens much but ive seen it happen

NO! Cottage Grove is ran through Outbound and should be thought of as being a smaller limited version of GP. As mentioned, you may sometimes have to use a Broker out load if they don't have any Outbound loads for you but that doesn't happen that often. For your information that kind of thing can happen out of GP as well when Outbound freight is low. You'll figure this stuff out more as you go. Sounds like you are getting some valuable learning curves. Good luck with it all and take care out there. :)

    Got a ring from O/B

I took the only load they have

    Cabbage Patch to Illinois

DSP says we'll probably have better luck once we get into Illinois on Wednesday

Its totally dead here in MN

    Bright side ... i'll turn this into a 34 h reset
