Lol massive situation with the fire and only communication from the company is a message saying the fuel pumps are down.

 

Don't be so hard on them.
They did tell us that security can now print
Out weigh tickets and print bills.

We still have no way of knowing if your load
Is ready or not, or if it's cancelled or not. Nothing.
Shipping phone just rings.
Outbound is sitting at home just as clueless as we are.

 

Told us not to come to the yard unless your load
Is ready to go.
Of course we have no way of knowing whether or
Not the load is ready to go.
I'll chill at loves for today.

After that I couldn't make the delivery anyway.
I'll just hop in my car and go home.
They can call me when they need me.

 

Since my load was delayed, I missed the original delivery appointment. It was supposed to be rescheduled, but I guess there is nobody in the office to do that now. I wonder if I should call the receiver directly.

Also I wonder how long I’ll be stranded waiting on a backhaul.

And my tractor DOT inspection expires 8/31. Hmmm hope this can get cleared up

 

The latest on the fire is its expected to burn for several days..firefighters are just letting it burn while protecting other buildings

 

I would call the receiver myself.
Or just show up and pray.
If it's a costco they might work you in.

Right now Backhaul's aren't the problem
It's Grand Prairie shipping being 2 days behind
Thats causing us to lose the Backhaul's that were pre
Planned Behind it.
Got me 3 trips in a row, by having to deliver late
Friday night or on a Saturday,then screwed all weekend.
It's a domino affect.

I'm supposed to deliver at 2200 Friday night in
Minersville pa. Now if I'm late for that because
They shipped it 2 days late, then what.
I could be screwed all weekend again.

My last trip,target moved the appointment back
3 days to a Saturday afternoon. In Jacksonville Florida
To boot. You know you screwed then.
I could have went home for 3 more days instead of
Sitting at the love's.

They won't get me again like that.
I live close to Shreveport, so I won't go past that
Until I get the new delivery time.
That way if they move it back 3/4 days later,
I'll just spend that time at home.

The best loads now are mom and pop since
We make the delivery times.
Then I don't have to show up at the yard until
The load is ready. There is no late delivery appointment
To be rescheduled. Just get them off when you can.

 

Texas needs about 10 of these ready to go on a moment's notice.
