Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Any of you guys having problems with the ELD system lately?

Every day I have been getting these warnings that it failed to record my location and it warns me that unless I enter the location manually, I will have a violation.

Trying to see if it’s a problem with the system Poly is using or if the problem is specific to my trucks.

It started happening about a month ago. I’m gonna right it up on the ticket next time it goes into the shop, but it might be a more general problem with the software.

 

Nobody was injured.
We just got the message that all operations
For production and shipping,starting tonight,
Are back up and running.
Fuel pumps are back up as well.
They cancelled my gravy load though.
Now I got to wait for another one.

 

I haven't had any problems. But I've been in the same peterbilt for
4 years straight. And I haven't touched any loaners.

But I did have another poly driver ask me that same question
While pumping fuel at the same time just a couple weeks ago.
He was having the same problem,he was in a international.
Don't know if that makes any difference.

 

I’m in the final days of using the Qualcomm unit in my Schneider truck before I switch to a tablet. Several weeks ago, I was having this very issue, often multiple times a day. The last two weeks have been ok.

 

I DESPISE this Qualcomm tablet.

It takes forever to turn on... usually 10-15 minutes and then if it crashes it’s another 10-15 minutes.

I start up in the morning and waste 15 minutes before I can start my pre trip.

If I’m at a receiver for a while and want to PC to the truck stop it’s another 15 minutes gone waiting for it.

Adds up to a lot of time during the coarse of a week.

Right now I’m writing this post waiting for the #### thing to turn on.

 

I’ll be sure to have easy access to a large hammer!

 

I got totally screwed from the latest delayed load.

Original delivery appointment was scheduled for the 19th.

However poly was 2 days late in loading the trailer and I missed the delivery appointment.

The delivery got rescheduled to the evening of the 24th. I arrived in the vicinity of the receiver on the morning of the 20th.

 

I can’t post the link but, there is also a large fire at a Carolina Poly plant in Chester SC. I seen the footage on news a few minutes ago!!!

Never mind
