Well first portion of day went well. Got a backhaul picking up in Littleton, MA but not scheduled until tomorrow. I decided to go ahead and check to see if it might be ready early as it was a rare d/h. Well in a word the shipping guy was a real dick. So p/u in the morning and rolling to Dayton, TX. A real solid three day run if I can drop it at Pol-Tex but no word yet. Load does not deliver until Monday morning so hopefully they will let me drop it and perhaps p/u a ld to Henderson. Weather holding out ok up here just really cold which is fine just hold off that precipitation for another day and let me get out of here:)

Im currently in # 3430 Hope the interview goes well and we can catch up

I'm just a newb. Posted this before but thought I would go ahead & shoot this to you also. I don't have the time or miles need by Poly but as the saying goes, "Ain't nothin' wrong with getting your duck line up early." Soooo my question....Does Poly hire out of the Oklahoma City area. Figured I would ask now. If they do GREAT but if not I'll pack this dream away. THX for any info.

yes, howeverI would suggest leaving a personal vehicle at Grand Prairie yard to make home time easier.

hey guys, just trying to figure out the poly system. if you can choose a load out of your home terminal why do you need to let dispatch know ahead of time when you want to go home? couldnt you just pick a load goin near the house(assuming there was one avail),empty out and take the 7 buisness days off before a backhaul? also where do you live MAJESTYK, you appear to have gone home in 3 different parts of the country, must be nice. what is the most stops you guys do to empty out an outbound load? be safe out there.

We request home ahead of time so outbound can cherry pick a load either emptying near the house or going through the house with enough time on the delivery to allow home time. Many times you might be scheduled to arrive at GP say on Wednesday and they have a load going to your house that is scheduled to load on Friday and deliver somewhere on Monday. If you have told them ahead of time that you want home, outbound will call shipping and get them to load it on Wednesday so you can get rolling to the house earlier and have more home time.
On the other hand, when I don't request home, I often get load offers that take me straight through the house, but the delivery schedule doesn't allow any time at home. So, notifying outbound ahead of time of your wish to go home is necessary to get a load with time on it.
