I don't know of an particular advantage to glass except you will pretty much know what, where, and when you will be hauling it, and the tractors are Schneider Orange.

They moved their recruiting area into Iowa because of the glass, I am not that interested in glass so I haven't paid them much attention but I see a lot of the trucks on The Avenue of the Saints(Saint Louis to St.Paul).

I don't think they make as much because they would do more deadhead miles than a regular flatbed or step-deck.

Mavrick bought Snieder specialized to get the glass business. Special trailers so most freight is one way runs, deadhead back. Unloaded is bad if you have slick roads.... When loaded very high center of gravity, so go slow around turns... special tarps and trailers for glass loads; better than standard flatbed tarps and running glass.
