Our home base is 279 miles from the CA border...and I'm in the same boat your in, we made good money last year, and I took CA off the cab card. Why is everyone so concerned with that that one friggin state.NHL_fan Thanks this.

Apparently they hate truckers, (or, big, mean old smokey trucks..). If your truck's pipes don't push out rainbows and cotton candy, they want to fine you, big. I would LOVE to think that Kim Kardashian might have a serious meltdown that would cause her to spend a few days in a hospital room because she can't purchase a favorite pair of shoes because some truck that isn't Calif compliant couldn't deliver out there.
I love that the state is slowly collapsing in on itself because of the stupid regs on EVERYTHING. They deserve it, esp the uber lib politicians that came up with all this goofiness they make in to state law. State is broke and a joke. No wonder mother nature tries to shake it apart or burn it down year after year.
Screw em.Roadrum, Peter Griffin, Terry270 and 9 others Thank this. -
Jajajajaja here is joseph1135 defending a State that can ban an American made Truck that was built 10 years ago but approve Mexican trucks with NAAFTA that are 30 years old? defending a State like that Canadian driver told me last week that a Cal HWY Patrol fined him $900.00 for a speeding ticket, the driver said that's the last load he take's to California! A state that is being challenged in court for the retrofit law because of safety concerns with truck fires on that clean air fraud technology. Every truck should avoid California and for Kansas Transit saying that for those of us that service or live in California? well find another lane. Even joseph1135 defends California but avoids California!

What's up with Kansas? They have stupid laws too that work against trucks driving thru their state?
-
Cat powered trucks with 2007-2009 engines ARE CARB compliant. They, however, don't have a "clean idle" sticker as they don't pass carb's idle requirements.
-
They do? Just about every state has something, I am assuming you are talking about an equipment tax to run in Kansas? -
Ok, here's the deal, one of my largest accounts that we have been house carrier for for 10 years ships about a 1/3 of their product to Cali. So I should just tell them no thanks, give those loads to some one else?
Yeah, I can see how long you would keep that account. -
I'm in California a few times a month. I don't know what you're talking about.
-
A few times a month with that new truck that you drive for Lessors? You defend the west coast against the rest of the country and even you avoid that state and yeah like the first quote you said......... and lose all that money? what money jajajaja
