I believe he was talking about the user Kansas Transit -- not the state.

Pretty sure Joe knows a thing or two about new trucks & reliability; he posted a month or so ago about being stuck in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin waiting on the dealership because his new truck derated.

  3. If you keep your truck clean, and nose clean(no $900. Speeding tickets) have your truck with a current inspection sticker. You can come and go in California.

Weren't you banned when you were "Driver of the year" for being a douche? Yeah you were. I don't avoid ANY state, not even Florida where you live. I live in the west, so yeah, Cali is a weekly run for me most of the time. And the money is right for this company, for KANSAS TRANSIT and the thousands of other drivers who run Cali. Not to mention the abundance of parking, freight, and In-N-Out burger. You don't want to run cali? Stay in Florida. There's plenty of people that will gladly take those runs, buy new trucks, and make $$$$$. I don't care what their politics are or their rules. And if I owned the truck, I'd still run the hell out of cali. 8+ mpg running 55-60 is good to me.

Bingo! I'm there every week, sometimes twice a week. The only problem I have is the non-english speaking, slow driving in the hammer lane can haulers. Can't dodgem all, they outnumber me bout 10,000 to 1!!lol

So, what you're saying is that, no matter what truck you drive, regardless if it has that fancy little hologram calif compliant sticker on the door, you can come and go as you please, without penalty just as long as your truck is clean? Glider kits won't kill the spotted owls of Calif, after all? ;)

    Oxbow and peterbilt_2005 Thank this.

  9. Not Sayimg anything about hologram. Just get your load ---> deliver or pickup and keep on trucking.

I've scene more pre-2005 trucks in California doing work. Its work, and someone has to do it.

Don't draw attention to yourself, obey the speed limit where applicable, don't jump out into the third lane unnecessarily don't park where signs are posted no truck parking or no trucks over 7 tons or no truck route!!

I could go on and on but, you get the picture. Run here long enough and you'll know what you can do & where you can do it.

But, I guess what I'm confused about is that pre-emmission trucks are fine. But, if you go traveling thru Calif with a 2015 Coronado with a Fitz glider kits pushing you down the road, you've had it. Is that right or am I missing something here? There has been all this talk over the past few years about the state, their laws, penalties and what type of trucks you can and can not drive inside the state lines. I mean, flying under the radar is one thing, getting caught is another. But, the real question here is, it's either legal or it isn't. What is the cut and dry information about the issue?
