When you leave the state, travel out thru 10 east. I have never seen CARB set up there. It's a small scale house. Cajon 15 northbound have set up there during the day but they leave after 4 or so. All the scales in So. Cali usually DON'T have CARB set up after dark.

I made it in, via I-15 early in the AM, scale was not open. Stayed the night in Barstow, which I later found out was a hang out for ARB but, I never saw them. Once I got unloaded, I had to find a load so, I drove to the Petro in Ontario. It took me about an hour to find a load but, it didn't pick up till the next day so, I chilled. The next day, I left early and passed the east bound I-10 scale while it was closed. I loaded up my easy counter weight tray and headed North on SR247 up to Barstow, and than jumped on I-15. I was 30 miles from the NV state line on 15 when a Highway Patrol pulled me over. There was a fugly Dot officer with him and she thought my 48' step was a 53" (with the rear axle all the way to the rear). She checked my paperwork and tried showing her fugly ### in front of the Highway Patrol officer but nothing became of it, and I was on my way... All in all, everything worked out great. What I found out was this; I can run 1000 miles a year in CA, as long as I register my truck. Before I register my truck, I have to get an Emission Label for my engine and that takes two trips to your local Freightliner dealer and $125. Plus I would have to get my windsheild replaced on pass side, because CA is a pain in the rear. I just don't think it is worth it....even though I can get good loads in, there is crap coming out...

I am STILL offering a million dollars to someone who can show me their ticket. Have YOU been shut down in Ca because you are not compliant? Don't tell me "my friend knows a guy who's neighbors wifes boyfriend got a ticket or shut down"... NOBODY has been shut down or cited with license plates or domiciled in another state (yes California base plated intrastate trucks have been). CARB does not want to give standing because they know they'll lose the case if it goes to court.

  10. I still drive Cali. I'm just waiting for the "get out of our state" ticket

Is Nationwide Transportation, Inc domiciled in CA? They were fined around 400k this summer for not bringing 53 of their trucks into CARB compliance. When checked for that company name, it came up as being in Nebraska I think.
