You might get lucky on that one tho lol. My Porsche is worth about twice as much as I paid for it now so longer finance terms aren't as bad of a idea on some cars but to do it on something like a new suburban I want is nuts. Figure I buy a new suburban for 75k and finance it for 6 years. By the time it's paid off it's got 150,000 miles on it and is worth 5k after I just got done paying house money for it lol.

A 10 year old vehicle is worth all the insane amount of money you do not pay for a new vehicle. You want reliable mostly any Toyota will Outlast any other vehicle with regular maintenance. Research best used vehicles that hold value and Toyota is number 1 always.

My step daughter has a 2008 Chevy Aveo sedan and that thing is just stupid. Not locking the torque converter code popping on. I'm guessing it's the grounds.

Take a multi meter and check tcm and bcm for voltage on the housing and ground continuity. It's just like all the cobalts in junk yards with "bad" transmissions, there is a good chance you could walk away with a cheap simple fix.

FlaSwampRat: I’m still glad that some vehicles still hold their value even though they’re old.

Even then, the dodge truck I have is not for sale. I like it too much, no matter how much tech, bells and whistles a new truck has.

This old diesel will still start if some country is dumb enough to set off an EMP, fry every electronic system over a large area.

Over half of our fleet of trucks are mechanical pump powered. I could still be delivering loads while all the new trucks are dead on the side of the road.

Just dug my 2010 impala LTZ out of the garage with 66k on the clock in new condition.
Gave it to my girlfriend to drive and will be the last GM or ford I'll ever own again .

I had to put a engine in one of those..09 I think. It was fun because the ltz has a 3.9...the only one with a 3.9 so finding a replacement engine is fun lol.
