Haven't had secret route gone bad. Have secret routes though When there is road construction and there is a truck detour separate from the regular detour out comes my state maps. Dot likes to set up in the truck detours. Fool me once. And I don't meen running heavy or illegal. Just routing myself a different way.

A guy asked me once "why would you care if the dot inspects you if you've got nothing to hide. I just responded, "your kidding right. I got better things to do than waste two hours being proved a criminal"

Ya out here in the sticks people always have a shortcut last one I took put me on a winding road barley big enough to take my truck down covered in ice with 20ft ditches on either side ya it saved 10 miles but but I drove the whole road about 15mph with my but clinched so tight it ain't funny

I just laugh at people who say you shouldn't mind going through scales if you're legal. I'll take the route that's 30 miles longer to not have to deal with scales.
