Sounds like bad luck but could have been due to poor planning? What are you going to do with your truck? What do you mean by your lease got cancelled?

Good luck with things. It’s getting tougher for everyone out there. I’m sure we will see many more threads like this if people are being honest. It’s much more fun to make a “I bought a truck” thread then a “I’m going broke” thread. Good on yah for your truthfulness.

Had a compliance issue which I handled it the legal way I think it was about the csa points cuz I got a ticket which is non moving violation. But yes I think it’s got to do with luck

Do you think you started out with less money for your business than you should have?

I love it just got a lot on my plate and I walked into it high hopes but I had a big break down around Christmas cost me 8 grand then come back and get canceled
To some degree yes but I had money to buy me some time and figure things out but it’s like a string of bad things happen to 8k repair lost revenue while I’m waiting and then once I try to get back I get canceled

    JonJon78 Thanks this.

It’s good that you are honest with yourself and you’re not letting your pride make you keep the truck until everything else is gone.

Not everyone is cut out for it, and that is okay. Minimizing your damage right now should be your main priority. Good luck.

Being an owner operator makes more sense for that worker who is always hustling even though he/she is getting paid the same hourly rate as the rest. These workers can benefit tremendously from pay based on work accomplished.

I can guarantee you that if you worked like a slave, or at every opportunity you are given, you will be successful. Being an owner operator means you can no longer operate like a company driver. You cannot take the same amount of time off, for example. Folks who do take a lot of time off, have typically been in the game for years. Hard work, discipline, sacrifice, well-informed decisions, solid money management skills, etc. are very important for any business.
