Well, only you know your priorities.
    Take care of your business.
But Chicago, and that part of the world, is the honey hole.

Go up to ND. Maybe landstar has a special on short hauls.

I did 8 Loads on a friday, saturday, sunday. 90 mile rountrip. $700 each.
Monday sucked though with a phone call to the office to invoice each load.
This was flatbed though. Few years back.

Please, I would like to know how ATBS screwed up your taxes? From what I have heard, they are pretty reputable

They won't write off all allowable items etc....they also will tell you that there goal is for you to pay as much as possible in taxes..theyre also downright rude and disrespectful...they act like customers are there for them..not the other way...that's just a sample..

You're an extreme minority because they have a reputation for being a bunch of shysters....

If they wanted you to pay as much tax as possible, that's a piece of cake, just don't claim any deductions whatsoever, that will put you in the highest possible tax bracket. But they have always tried to inform of every tax deduction possible

I haven't even contacted them yet.. to be honest I'm not sure exactly how that goes. I just know I signed up for the service with them and they have access to my settlement info. Got some receipts in my wallet maybe they should see too

    Cabinover101 Thanks this.

Save every receipt for absolutely anything that you buy for your truck or while you are on the road except for your food receipts. Everything else is pretty much tax deductible. Your per diem/ number of days on the road away from home covers your food expense as far as deductions are concerned. The access they have to your settlement information is just so you don't have to send every settlement to them personally.
