It does, that's what I've been doing lately. Though 90% of the loads going to Utah are all in the western 11. Northern California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Washington state dominate the inbound Utah freight. But I saw a couple of anomalies, like a load from northern Alabama to Phoenix, a load from Chicago straight into Salt Lake, or a load I can still technically pickup on Tuesday from Chicago to Reno. Taking that load now would ruin me but it gives me potential options

I would recommend getting to Arizona then they have tons of loads from casa grande that go to slc Ogden region regularly..that’s one option.

Surprise surprise, the shipper in Dallas for my load to MI says my load will be ready at 3pm. Load info said it'd be ready between 11pm yesterday and 3pm today. It's currently 9am. And now I have to rush to make the mid-Monday settlement cutoff. On top of that all the other loads out here in Dallas pay less and deliver on Monday so I'm stuck with this one.

    This is stupid.

My 6am pre load still not ready at 0900.
    This is partially because:
    A. There was no trailer for them to load to.
    And
    B. Because they don't get here until 7.

Been sitting in the door for over 2 hours and the hostler rolls up and says,
"What was your pick up number again?"

I was done and staged 20 miles from here yesterday at 1430. I could have easily brought them this trailer. But instead, here I sit.
Such is life in the trucking business.

    Cabinover101 Thanks this.

If you dropped the trailer early someone probably would have stolen it anyways......

An empty you know kinda thing....

If your picking up today, and you’re worried about making cutoff on Monday, you have plenty of time to make it...do you have another run booked after this one??

No I don't, but I'm looking at loads now in the Michigan area picking up Tuesday. I like to start my week off on Mondays if I can, feel like I get behind the 8 ball on Tuesdays

That's why I had to live load. There was 2 MTYs when they left for New Year's and none when they came back.
    5 hours to get loaded.
Well, I guess everyone has days like this.
But tomorrow is a brand new day.
