Used to be the second week.
First week you just pay for insurance. But, usually the first week is short. I think we didn't roll out until Thursday.

Wow, I just can't even imagine that. Especially at $1.59 a mile on a good week?
ItZdaSiX, RStewart and spyder7723 Thank this. -
Its doable, Scooter. Just have to stay focused.
And when you pay it off, you just wrote yourself a $36,000 raise.
I know. I did it. -
Yes, that would take a lot of determination and guts. Glad you were able to pull it off.Cabinover101 and Vic Firth Thank this.

Get up every day and go to work.
No big dealdiesel drinker and Vic Firth Thank this. -
I get it. It's just the "every day" part that doesn't always jive for me. But like they say, there's more than one way to skin a cat. I wish the guy well at any rate.Opus, Cabinover101, spyder7723 and 1 other person Thank this.

The "every day" thing sinks most.Scooter Jones Thanks this.

Now it's 3 weeks, but seeing as the first week is shortened by orientation, it's really 2.5 weeks before the first truck payment.
When you factor in the truck, insurance and permits, it's more like a $4800 a month truck payment. As Opus said, it's doable, but right now it's a PITA. Who's to know that I'll have any gas left in me after the lease is up? Maybe I'll pay it off cash or finance it and reap the rewards after year 3? Maybe I'll cut my losses and return to LTL after turning in the lease? For me I guess it most depends on when my wife and I start a family.Cabinover101 and JOHNQPUBLIC Thank this.
