On Friday I dropped a trailer at a customer. On Monday I picked it up again. When I dropped the trailer it was fine, when I picked it up.it looked like this:
I don't know how it happend, but no other Schneider driver touched it between when I dropped it and when I picked it up.
When I dropped it at the shop, I picked up a trailer that had just gotten it's 3rd roof patch in as many months.
Between inexperienced drivers, uncaring drivers, yard jockeys, drop lots, and forklift drivers it's little wonder why we can't keep nice things nice.
Last week or the week before a brand new IC hooked to a brand new TA2xxxxx trailer at the dtc. He was turning left out od the driveway when the trailer dropped. According to the instructor who watched it happen, the 5th wheel handle was all the way out. On the brightside, damage was minimal because the "driver" had only cranked the landing gear up about 1/3 of the way.
If that trailer makes it 5 years before drivers stary calling it junk, I will be amazed.Last edited: Mar 3, 2020

I sure hope everything works out for you but the doom and gloom you speak will keep popping up. What you think about most is what will happen in your life. Welcome to the real world where problems arise everyday. We're not truckers, we're problem solvers. Start thinking like one and things will change. Quit looking at the worst possible scenario and start looking for the best outcome of the scenario. There could be a hidden Blessing in this mess.
I've done about anything in my power to run my business straight into the ground. It's only by the grace of God that I'm still in business. I've made about every mistake you can make but I refuse to give up and I've learned from those mistakes. Sure, I would get upset and mad at times but I never gave in to the gloom and doom and always tried to keep a positive attitude. It's been tough to do at times but negativity will destroy you fast and it's all around you already. Don't bring it upon yourself as well.Dave_in_AZ, dwells40, Opus and 2 others Thank this. -
How much does it cost to turn in your lease truck early....?
-
Based off of the guys I've talked to, nothing. Schneider will say you owe them and they'll call and send you letters and such but they haven't went after anyone from a legal standpoint that I've heard about.Cat sdp Thanks this.

5000 Gs and bullet to your credit score.
-
Wrong. It doesn't affect your credit score unless they changed there way they handle it in the last 6 months.Mountaintrucker4302 and Opus Thank this.
-
yeah I can only see it impacting your credit score if you failed to pay off what you owe them after early turn in of it. After all you can return anything you are leasing. That don't stop what you owe them for it. lol
-
They don't report it. They know they will get their money from the next guy that leases it or if they sell it. They're not worried about it. They try to make you think they're worried about it but they're not.Mountaintrucker4302 Thanks this.
